Aksharapadeeyam – Episode 2

In this series of Aksharapadeeyam episodes, Dr. Sarada garu introduced the concept of ‘Aksharapadeeyam’ in Episode 1. In this episode she discusses the basic construct and inner depths of the Aksharas, alphabets, words, sounds… unitary linguistic principle – ‘Shabda Tattva’; ‘Akshara Shakthi’, ‘Shabda Pramana’, ‘Prana Shakthi’…
She explains how a philosophical inquiry is necessary…

We understand the ‘world’ in terms of ‘words’. These words form with in us. We understand our thinking, our experiences, emotions, everything in terms of words and we express in words. Every wakeful second our cognition is because of a language we create with in. Words we make find their way out. They are determined by how we cognize them.

Without the help of linguistic elements, we cannot express our cognition. What helps cognition? Where are the elements harbored? Without the help of linguistic elements, concepts cannot form.  Conception leads to perception – Belief – Faith – Religions – Rituals, thus we create a world.  The world of experiences is dependent on only one principle.

That unique principle is  ‘unitary linguistic  principle – ” Shabda Tattva “- ”  శబ్ద తత్త్వ ”  This ” shabda tattva ” principle functions in two levels.
First one is  –    The stages before expression – language viewed as ‘ Principle ” –  శబ్ద తత్త్వ ”    అక్షర సహిత ‘
Second one is  –   Utterance , or   language viewed as –  ” Act ” ” ఉచ్ఛరణా క్రియ ”

At first level, language functions as metaphysical principle.
Entire world of words is at transcendental level.
At second level, sound coming from oral cavity, with form, function as tools for communication. Only after we say the word in sound form, we can explain or explain the phenomenal world. We have six articulation points in our Oral cavity. The cave is at the most 2 x 2 x 3 inches in measure, we can make self-sustained complete from – Gutturals, palatals, cerebral, dental, labials and nasals.
Vowels – 3 , Consonants – 10 , Nasals – 5 , Ushmaalu – sa, Sha, SHA, ha  , anthasthalu – Ya ra la va – 26 Akshara-s -s

Life energy has three forms – Prana, jnaana,  Naada.
Human makes sounds. Rest of the living beings, creatures make sounds.
What is the difference? Dhwani , Shabda , Naada . Human words give away subtle body, Gross body and intellectual body workings  or doings.

Akshara is the fundamental brick for this activity. అక్షర
Animals, birds, or any other living being can only expresses emotional , physical body needs.
The Prana shakthi  of human has aksharotpaadana shakthi – అక్షరోత్పాదన శక్తి .

Animals life energy cannot be converted in to or produce Akshra.  Akshara is nearer to us than ourselves. To understand and prove the existence of a Sound – perception – pratyaksha , Inference – Anumaana, Comparison – Upamaana, Postulation – Arthapatti, Non apprehension – anupalabhdhi ,Verbality – Shabda can be proved by  these six methods. Nyaaya , Meemaamsa, Vedantha, Sankhya all accept validity of Shabda pramaana.

The questions remain .
Do these pramana-s help understand the ” Akshara ”  and ” Akshara shakthi ” ? Can they give meaning, purpose, strength, form for each ” Akshara?
I believe that the words ” aamnaayam – shruthi – trayee- vedam ” – ఆమ్నాయం , శృతి, త్రయీ, వేదం  can unfold the true form , power and nature of ” Akshara .
