Ganapati Atharvaseersham

Lord Ganapati, also called and addressed by various names such as Vinayaka, Ganesha, Lambhodara, and so on is the God of Knowledge. He is also sought for as a remover of obstacles.

Lord Ganapati, the form, is the visible representation of the ultimate truth, the highest reality – The Brahman; realized meditating on the Mahavaakya – ‘Tat Tvam Asi’.

‘Atharva’ means pain-free; ‘Seersha’ means prime, the most important. The most important vidya/knowledge of all Vidyas that gives all round success, all round happiness, removes all sorts of obstacles, and is beneficial in all ways is the Ganesha Vidya – “ Ganesha Aatharvaseersham.”

In our life we all want the most important as said in Vedas – “Bhadram and Swasthi”. Bhadram is security, happiness. Swasthi is eligibility, health to enjoy whatever ‘Bhadram’ has been given to us. 

On reciting “Ganapati Atharvaseesrham,” one is blessed and receives and dwells in pure happiness – Anandaanubhava.
